Ness Money shows
My name is Ness Money and I have a real love of Classical Music, ranging from Medieval, Baroque, Romantic, 20th Century, (my favourite of this era being Impressionism).
In my younger years I was a student at the Royal College of Music (RCM). I studied piano & violin as well as the history & theory of music. I graduated with an RCM degree. From there I went onto Teacher Training College as I wanted to become the best music teacher that I could possibly be in order to share my enthusiasm of music in a variety of different methods to all of my students.
I have always felt that people class ‘Classical’ music as something that is listened by those of “ a higher ” class or by a “particular kind” of person. Well, I can tell you that I am certainly not that kind of person. I am down-to-earth, from a working-class background, but was fortunate in having the support of my family, in particular my Mum & my husband Andy, in order to lead me on my journey to what I eventually achieved. I became a Graduate of Music, then a teacher.
I played in Orchestras, sang in the Royal College of Music choir and entered performance competitions. I was able to study so many pieces by wonderful composers. I enjoyed my teaching both in schools & privately. My repertoire grew immensely and sharing my love of music with my students was a real passion for me.
I think it is a great idea to have a Classical playlist on RadioHLR in order to share new music experiences for some listeners, as well as to provide some comfort during & at the end of a hectic day – to calm the soul. It will be of great benefit to soothe and unwind with the help of this genre of music.
I hope you enjoy the music I have selected for the playlist.
