HLR Presents

HLR isn’t just a great community radio station. We’re on a mission to bring quality live music to Heckington. By teaming up with the Pavilion, Heckington and other partners, we present the best bands and artists we can. And we’ve already  had some amazing successes. Could you be the next? Email

HLR is working with The Pavilion to bring quality live bands and artists to Heckington in 2023 and 2024.

The Pavilion has a standing capacity of around 100 (plus band space), an adjoining stocked/staffed bar area (with not dissimilar capacity), ample free parking, outside seating/tables and is set in green open space (playing fields). The venue has experience of hosting artists, and holds an outdoor music festival annually (Heckfest).

HLR is keen to bring in quality bands and artists by handling promotion and ticket sales and supporting events and artists by, for example, streaming events live on the station.

We launched the model in 2022 and held our first major gig on 1st July 2022, when we hosted The Inheritors (a Stranglers covers band). The event SOLD OUT and was a huge success for the venue and HLR. The band were delighted by their reception.

We followed this later in the year with The Alex Hamilton Band and in February 2023 presented Sharp Class, which was another sell-out gig. On 30th September 2023, HLR Presents will host Alice Strange for our fourth gig. We’re also bringing The Inheritors (aka Rattus Inheritus) back to Heckington in August to headline Heckfest 2023.

We’re now looking to build on this success by booking further artists.

If you are looking for a smaller venue, your fees might make an event with us viable and think you might be able to help us develop our LIVE music offering, please get in touch by emailing We’d love to hear from you.
